Girl's soccer game

Bella and I officially live at the soccer field here... Today was the girls soccer game and Lance, Bella and I decided to go. Bella loves to be outside crawling around in the grass so it actually is really nice. Everybody loves seeing her there and she loves all the attention she gets. She's a popular one around here :)

How do I customize my blog so it's not BLA?

I would appreciate any advice and help I can get. I can't seem to figure out how all you people have cute backgrounds and mine is so stupid.... Ok thanks

GO SEASIDERS!

BYU Hawaii won their first game tonight! They played Sanoma State last week and lost, but it was just an exhibition game so it doesn't even go on their record. Tonight they played Chico State and it went into overtime. BYU won 2-1. It was an awesome game. I'm so proud of Lance. He kicks major butt out there. Go baby!!! Bella had her first pigtails in tonight for daddy. She was cheering him on the whole game. She'd yell "Daaaaa" We sure love our daddy and all his hard work in all areas of life :) We're off to Maui for a tournament next weekend! I'm so excited! (as you can see I'm not much of an action shot picture taker. I'll get better as the season goes on)

Bella, Abish and Daddy's sandcastle

Abish is Bella's good friend who lives in our apartment building. She loves playing with him. They worked hard together to build this big huge tall sandcastle... of course with a little help from Daddy :)

BATH TIME

I think I've deprived Bella of being able to enjoy her baths up until now. I have always sat in the bath with her cause I didn't want her to drown or stand up or ya... just call me a paranoid mother. So like a month ago I decided that since she's almost one she's big enough to take her own baths. She loved it! And she didn't drown :) But last night I decided to let her try a bubble bath. She couldn't stop saying "BU Bu, Bu bu" for bubble. She was hillarious! I never knew bath time could be so much fun.

BELLA AT SOCCER PRACTICE

I thought I'd bring my camera to one of Lance's practices so everybody could see how we have spent most of our days this last week. Bella and I go to pretty much all of his practices just so she can watch daddy and crawl around the grass. It's pretty fun. Bella LOVES soccer balls. She'll crawl wherever she has to to get one. Her favorite part though is stretching with daddy after he's all done.

It's when you don't have something that you really miss it...

I have to say that I have taken the best husband in the world for granted this last little bit. I have been spoiled through the summer to have him helping me out with EVERYTHING. With Bella, with laundry, with cleaning the house, just with everything. He's the BEST! Last week he started soccer training... He's been playing anywhere from 5 to 8 hours a day. Insane! Bless his heart, inbetween practices he just comes home and crashes, so this last week I have really missed spending time with him. It was funny he made the comment the day before his 3-a-days started " I don't know if I really want to put my body through this agian, I'm getting old" :) He had his first game on Thursday and played Sanoma State who is ranked #1 in their conference. It was a good game. They lost 2-1, but played awesome especially since the morning of their game was the first time the players EVER played together. This will be Lance's last soccer season and we're excited. The team is looking really good. They've brought a whole bunch of new recruits that I think will be awesome. GO LANCE! GO SEASIDERS!

Our kayaking adventure

A few of our friends decided that they wanted to Kayak out to an island and invited us to go. I was very sketchy about going, first of all because I am not too fond of the ocean and second of all because why if I was afraid would I want to put my precious little Bella out in the middle of the ocean on a kayak? Well with some peer pressure and a husband who REALLY wanted to go, I gave in and went. It was ok. That's about all. I didn't enjoy the 30 minute kayak trip to the island, Bella hated her life jacket so it made it even worse with her freaking out the whole time, but once we got there it was pretty fun. Bella's little friend Kali was there too and they played so cute together. All the guys went spear fishing, a few of them caught some fish. Aaron caught a nasty octopus and as you can see by the pictures there was no fear with handling it at all. SICK! Kali and Bella crashed on the beach for about an hour. They were troopers seeing how we were out there from about 10am to 4pm. I was informed that there had been a shark attack right where we were about 3 weeks ago so... the kayak trip back was even worse than the one there. I think it was cause I was so tired and so was Lance and he had to paddle all by himself and the waves were bigger and it just seemed to be a little more intense not to mention I was thinking about sharks the whole time. Sorry Lance for my freaking out the whole time... We made it back safe I was very grateful. I don't think I will be doing that one again. Once was good enough for me :)

More of the adventure...

My belly

Here are just a few pictures Lance took yesterday. I am 22 weeks and feel like I am ten times huger than when I was pregnant with Bella. I guess that's what happens with the second child. I don't even want to imagine what the 3rd will be like...

We're back!

It's been a while since I've posted pictures. Not because I've been lazy, but because as you already know when we were in Maui our camera broke. It took us this long to get another one. We decided to get a video camera that takes still pictures too so it's really nice. I love it. Anyways... Bella is getting bigger everyday. She is doing so much sign language and is actually starting to talk. She of course says mom and dad and her newest words are grandma and grandpa (she loves saying grandpa, she LOVES her grandpa) dog, cat, fish, and tickle tickle which is my favorite. She is becoming more and more stubborn and knows when she is doing something wrong, but still does it anyway... It's hard for me not to laugh at her. She'll tell herself AH-AH when she knows what she is doing is wrong like what Lance and I do to her, but she will still go ahead and play in the drawers, mess with the xbox, knock over our fans, and the thing I hate the most, pull her bows off her head. Stinker butt! I love her more than anything though. She's still my little angel

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lance and I went to to the doctor on Tuesday and found out our next little bundle is a boy! I knew it the whole time. This pregnancy has been so completely different from Bella that there was no way it was another girl. I mean I guess it could have been a girl but I would have been shocked. So a boy it is! I have mixed feelings I wanted another girl just because Bella and this new baby will be so close in age and also I don't know what the heck to do with a boy.... Oh well I guess I'll have to learn :) I am getting more excited the more I think about it. A boy will be fun. Lance is super excited of course.

MAUI TRIP

For my birthday Lance's mom got us a condo in Maui for the weekend so we packed our bags and took a long 25 minute flight to Maui on Thursday. We did tons of fun stuff unfortunetely the first night we were there our camera broke. We were so sad. So that should explain why so little pictures. Thanks to Jenn we did Kimos for dinner one night. DELICIOUS prime rib! And also were very brave and did the road to Hana. Ok, people tell you it's a curvy road... no it's out of control curvy, but very beautiful. The banana bread was delicious! Maui was great, but Lance and I decided we actually prefer Oahu, North Shore. Sorry Maui lovers!

Sacred Falls Hike

We went on a beautiful hike up to Sacred Falls last week. It was amazing! Bella loves to be outside so the whole hike she was pointing at everything and squealing because she was so excited. We came across a sign that said PARK CLOSED KEEP OUT. Pretty much we just ignored it. I guess some people have died from big rock/land slides so they legally have to close the hike. We just had to hop a fence, no big deal. But there is a crazy picture where you can see how the whole huge mountain fell apart. Insane! On our way down she got a little fussy in her back pack so Lance took her out and she went to sleep like 2 minutes later.

Bella finally has her own room!!!

Because we are so fortunate to be living in Hawaii we sacrifice some of the luxurious things in life like a two bedroom apartment. But because we are expecting a second baby we were lucky enough to be put from a tiny one bedroom box into a brand new two bedroom. So that means Bella can finally have her own room. Unfortunetely we are really struggling with her thinking that her new bed is awesome. She doesn't think that it's all that great. In fact she HATES her crib. It has been a nightmare the last few weeks we've been back here and moved in. I think she is finally realizing she will survive in her crib. Cross our fingers it continues and she will learn to sleep in her brand new room.

4th of July nap

Lance and Bella took a nap after our 4th of July adventure and festivities at Turtle Bay. We had a fun day and are just about to go see how Bella likes the fireworks...

Bella's reading a little early

I put her down on the bed to grab something and came back a few minutes later and this is how I found her. She had got a hold of the book and was reading it. I was dying. There were actually sounds coming out of her mouth like she was trying to read.

drive drive with daddy

Bella's favorite thing to do is right after we pull into our apartment complex I take her out of the carseat to drive drive. I swear there's nothing that excites her more. She hangs on to the steering wheel with both hands and just squeals because she's so excited. It's hillarious to watch.

Just call us the "Last minute Joes"

Sunday after church part of my family had plans to leave for Lake Powell, all driving but Mom and Dad. Dad decided that flying for an hour and a half was a lot better than driving 6 hours. So he and Mom were going to be flying in his little plane. Lance and I had pretty much decided that we were'nt going. We didn't think that Bella would appreciate the long car ride and it was only going to be a 3 day trip so we thought it wasn't really worth the 12 hours of driving and so on.... So about 20 minutes before mom and dad had planned to leave dad called me and said I really think it would be fun if you guys would come and there are 3 extra seats in the plane. We couldn't really pass up Lake Powell then so we packed our bags like super speedy and headed to the Heber airport where dad's plane was. We had a great time In Powell. It was definetely short, but I was actually glad to come back home. I think Bella was too.

The plane ride to the Page Airport

This was an interesting plane ride... We were in a 6 seater airplane, more like four seater though cause the two seats in the very back I don't really think we can call seats. Anyways... It was Mom and Bella in the back, Lance and I in the middle, and Jack (the pilot) and Dad in the front. Mom wasn't feeling so well so inbetween puking she had to hold oxygen on Bella's nose. I had no idea that oxygen was going to be involved but I guess because we were flying at such a high altitude and the plane wasn't pressurized we had to wear lovely oxygen masks. I felt so bad for my mom, but she survived. I was just glad we weren't in a car for 6 hours. Thank goodness. And we were so lucky that Bella slept the whole way. It was an experience to say the least.
