RANDOM...

You've got to throw in a few random posts every once in a while. So Lance has been sooooo extremely hammered with school these last few weeks. We have seen very little of him. And when we do see him he's sitting at the table with his nose in his book. Anyway, so the other day I walked by him and saw a piece of paper with the tiniest writing on it and asked him what the heck he was doing. Apparently for one of his midterms they were allowed one piece of paper to take any notes they wanted and bring it in for the test. So that's a nice picture of his one paper. I think he prides himself in his art of writing super small. Crazy kid... The next picture is the cutest thing I have ever seen. Lance took this picture of Bella and our neighbor David. I guess there's a little crush going on between the two of them I didn't know about. They hold hands all the time now and when we tell her to say bye to him when we go inside she always gives him a kiss. Trouble already... What am I going to do. THe last picture is just our sweet little girl all ready with her backpack of toys and her baby on her way out the door to go to the beach. This girl could seriously live at the beach.

NAME DILEMA

So our little guy is now coming up on three months and his crazy parents are going to be changing his name... Any objections? Ok good. It's been quite the issue with this boy to find a name that we feel fits him. Poor thing, I know. Both Lance and I think that Ricks is a nice middle name, but not a good first name. People call him Rick... Rex... everything but Ricks. It's really frustrating. The fact that he would grow up being called the wrong thing ALL the time is reason enough to change his name. And also like I mentioned above, Ricks doesn't really fit him. So the name that we are about 90 percent sure we are going to change it to, is Trey Kainalu Ford. What do you think? We're also taking any ideas too, so if you have any good names for us, help us out.

LOVE YOU AUNTIE KAREN!

Thanks to Auntie Karen, Bella and Ricks have the CUTEST blankies ever. She is so amazingly talented at sewing and has in fact helped me on many projects myself. She helped me make a blanket when I was 16. And when I found out I was pregnant with a girl (Isabella) she helped me make her crib bedding. Ok she practically made it for me, I really can't take much credit, but she's the best! She's not only good for making stuff though, Karen has been one of my very best friends for about 10 years. She was my Young Women's President back in Arizona when I was a Mia Maid and you could be say we've been friends through some crazy times in both of our lives. It's hard to believe that she is 20 years older than me :) I'm so grateful for her. Thanks for being such a good friend and more than just a friend an example. Love you Karen!! Thanks again for the DARLING blankets. Love 'em!

MY LITTLE BELLA

Can you believe Isabella is a year and a half. CRazY! She is getting to be such a little girl, not a baby. She's been doing some funny things lately like when we tell her to dance she puts her hands on her knees and shakes her little butt. It is hillarious. Also she has been trying to talk alot more and hearing her say words is pretty entertaining. One example (my favorite) is lemonade. It sounds a little bit like this "munumanumanay". My little girl is getting so big!

President's Day = Turtle Bay Beach and a princess party

We had a fun busy day. We first woke up and just kind of lounged around. Ate bagels in bed with the babies. We decided since it was such a beautiful day outside (85degrees) we'd go to the beach. We went to Turtle Bay and had lots of fun. Ricks pretty much just sleeps the whole time in his carseat which is really nice and then we are able to play with Bella in the water. Yes, she is still fearless. A wave will totally come and take her out and she gets up and laughs, coughs a little but mostly just laughs. She's crazy! After the beach Bella's friend Kali had her 2nd birthday Princess party. Shanae planned such a fun party for all the little girls. Bella was tinkerbell and was a dang cute tinkerbell if I might say so myself.

BYUH vs. GAMBA OSAKA

The BYUH soccer team was priveleged enough to play a professional soccer team from Japan. It was pretty much just a practice game for Gamba Osaka. There is a tournament here in Hawaii next week that four teams are playing in. LA Galaxy (David Beckham), Gamba Osaka, Houston Dynamo and a professional team from Australia so BYU was just letting Gamba get some practice. Of course BYU lost, but BYU played their little hearts out. It was fun to watch Lance play again. It's been a while. Lance and I got tickets to the tournament next week and I'm SO excited to go!!!

Valentines dinner at Turtle Bay

Lance and I had a lovely romantic night out to dinner without the kids, it was AWESOME! We went to Ola, a restaurant at Turtle Bay that is right on the beach. The food was really yummy and the weather was beautiful and I really enjoyed just spending some time with Lance. Lance and I have decided we need to start dating again. Happy Valentines Day!!!!

Fun times with Kali

Bella was lucky enough to have her friend Kali come over to the house and play. They had a really good time. Bella and Kali play so well together. They watched Baby Signing Time while eating their popcorn on the princess couch, they ate noodles and they ended the night off with a bath. Thanks Kali for being such a fun friend and thanks Shanae for letting Lance and I have a nice Valentines dinner. We owe you!

Being a good mom is hard...

My little Isabella is a princess. Unfortunetely I think she knows it... and at times her sassy princess comes out. It's quite scary, I see so much of me in her... Yesterday we had our first experience of Bella hurting Ricks. It was a really sad 30 minutes with Ricks screaming, Bella screaming and mom crying. Luckily dad was there to try to calm us all. So what happened was Ricks was in his vibrating seat and Bella walked over and was about to sit on him (she was in one of her moods) I kindly scolded her and told her to back up and do not sit on your brother, she didn't like that, it made her more mad. So I got a little more stern and I think it scared her and she stumbled over the chair with her feet and landed right on Ricks's foot and I could of swore she broke it with all her weight and the way it bent it. I lost all control then, yelling at Isabella and so worried about Ricks, of course Bella started screaming, Ricks was screaming (and ps he doesn't even cry, so him screaming, I knew he was hurt) He didn't stop crying for about 30 minutes. I really thought his foot was broken. Lance was bending it all different directions to see if he noticed anything abnormal, everything seemed to be ok. Lance suggested we give him a blessing. It was honestly a few minutes after the blessing that Ricks finally calmed down. I am so thankful for the priesthood. I know that Ricks was able to calm down and feel comforted because of our Heavenly Father and because of the worthiness of Lance. All in all everything ended up just fine. Because of Ricks's screaming for so long he ended up sleeping for five and a half hours after that. It was quite nice. Maybe next time I could handle the situation a little differently. It's hard to know how to be a good mom.

We just might have a thumb sucker... OH NO!

So lately Ricks has been sucking his fist, which is fine. The last few days he has found his thumb. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. Lance thinks it's so cute. Bella has noticed Ricks's thumb in his mouth and noticing the attention he is getting from it. So tonight when he was sucking his thumb I decided I needed to take a picture of it... I look over at Bella eating her dinner and I notice she is sucking her thumb and yelling "Mama Mama!" The sweet thing decided that if she would suck her thumb she would get a picture too.

Our growing happy guy!
