So our little guy is now coming up on three months and his crazy parents are going to be changing his name... Any objections? Ok good. It's been quite the issue with this boy to find a name that we feel fits him. Poor thing, I know. Both Lance and I think that Ricks is a nice middle name, but not a good first name. People call him Rick... Rex... everything but Ricks. It's really frustrating. The fact that he would grow up being called the wrong thing ALL the time is reason enough to change his name. And also like I mentioned above, Ricks doesn't really fit him. So the name that we are about 90 percent sure we are going to change it to, is Trey Kainalu Ford. What do you think? We're also taking any ideas too, so if you have any good names for us, help us out.

That is kind of funny but I totally understand. My sister-n-laws name is Aleena. They used to spell it Aliena, you can imagine with Alien in her name it did not go over well. They changed the spelling when she was like 5 or so. Anyway, she was glad that did.
I really like the name Ricks but I can understand it being a hard name. I love Trey...I think it is adorable! Good luck!
I think it's fun to change his name! Have you already blessed him? What happens if you want to change is name AFTER you've blessed him? Just curious...can't wait to hear what you end up naming him!!!
i love his name!! I also love Trey too....Either one is perfect.
PS~ i would tell you some Boy names, but i have to wait to see what i am having first. :)
I absolutely love the name Trey - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that name. It's on my list too. I think he would be an extremely cute Trey. I understand how you feel... after you get home and start saying that name you picked all the time suddenly sometimes you start thinking... I don't know if that was really the right one. I think it's awesome that your actually thinking that you might change it... Even if it stays Ricks in the end that fact that you have the guts to do it is great!
kara, so glad you said hi on my blog. you're kids are so so cute. this utah winter has been terrible, hawaii looks like heaven. glad to see you're doing so well.
How funny! I've never thought of changing their name after they are born, but I totally understand because that sucks when people call you the wrong name (I know from experience!) I think Trey is super cute and you won't get it wrong! Let us know what you decide!
Ok Kara you and Lance are the cutest little family ever! You look so HOT in your Vday pictures together! Um are really going to change his name? I love Ricks its so original! But i have to admit i do LOVE trey! Oh know what are you going to do?
You guys are crazy! I love Ricks, but Trey is cute too. How about Trey Ricks Kai---- Ford? Then as he is older he will have the option of which name he wants to go by.
take it from me... its not really a big deal when you have to correct someone when they say it wrong... I would rather have that then have a name that everyone else in the class has-HA! I really like Ricks...it so different and cute. I also like REX (what you put in your posting) I wanted to name a boy that...but Shaun's Cousin beat me to it (its a family name) But anyway... YOU HAVE TO LIKE THE NAME and Feel like it fits...so, good luck!!
PS-he is so cute! and you look so good... I am jealous of all your beach shots.
Oh gosh, names... Sigh. No one gets J's name. Ever. It's just J, with no period, and not J-A-Y. I totally blame this on my husband.
So, I know your pain with people not knowing what the heck you are saying... People always think I say, "Jane", or "Shay", and I have even had people think I said, "Trey". Maybe I just can't speak right, but whatever.
YOU GO GIRL! I think that's awesome!!
OK! I sent in this picture. SUPER CUTE. I should hear back from them by tomorrow, and I will let you know as soon as I do!
