This was my first Christmas away from family. It was a little hard and I really missed some of the traditions my family does like singing around the piano, hearing my dad read the Christmas story, eating soup and scones and all of the other things we do every year. Not to mention I really missed the snow. This year we spent Christmas in warm Hawaii with our little family and Grandma Dona. I made a wicked good prime rib (thanks dad) and we watched Santa Claus 3. After watching the movie Lance and I set up Christmas for Bella and then went to bed. Christmas morning was fun, seeing Bella's face light up when she saw the Christmas tree with all of her presents was great. I didn't think she'd get so excited but she was thrilled! It's been a day of much relaxing and lots of movie watching and eating treats. Overall it's been a good Christmas. I look forward to being with my big family next year :)

Ricks Kainalu Ford
Saturday was an eventful day... Here at BYUH they only do the cap and gown/walk thing in the months of December and June so since Lance will be officially graduating in April he chose to walk now. So Saturday Lance, you could say, semi graduated. It was a fun day, but a little stressful and tiring. We got through the graduation and took a bunch of pictures. We then went home and washed the car, drove into town to drop off some of Lance's friends at the airport, came home and on the way home I was talking on the phone with my mother-in-law and told her that my water was going to break at 2am... we got home from the airport, I cleaned the whole house and set up a Christmas tree. (my parents were flying in on Sunday afternoon hence the late night cleaning) I was POOPED by the end of the day. I went to sleep around 11:00pm and low and behold I was sound asleep and I woke up in a pool of water at 2:03 am. My water broke!!! Lance was sitting right next to me watching a movie on the laptop and I sat up and said "Lance, hurry grab me a towel" He jumped up faster than I have ever seen someone jump out of bed. We got to the hospital around 4am when my contractions started to really become painful. They checked me and I was dilated 5 centimeters. It was official I was in labor. My labor was pretty short compared to Bella. From start to finish it was about 7 hours and I was able to have a natural birth, no c-section!! At 11:08am with only 45 minutes of pushing little Ricks Kainalu Ford was born, weighing 8lbs4oz same exact weight as Bella. Twinners! Bella adores him and won't stop giving him kisses. We are both healthy as can be and are home and excited to see how life is with two kids...

...graduation
Elder Ballard spoke at graduation and Lance was lucky enough to get a picture with him and the president of BYU Hawaii and his wife afterwards. Pretty neat... and isn't he such a good looking graduate?

Billabong Pipeline Masters
I just now got off the phone with my mom and she said it's snowing in Utah... It's hard for me to imagine snow and cold. Lance, Bella and I just got back from Pipeline Beach where a major surf competition is happening. It was so cool to watch. The waves weren't as big as I was hoping but it was a beautiful day with the sun shining. I think my belly got a little tan :) PS I took these belly shots especially for you Jane, I know I know I'm HUGE! 4 days to go and yes I'm counting! We still don't have a name picked out for the little guy so I'm a little nervous, but hopefully we'll come up with one in the next few days. All of you in the winterwonderland enjoy it! And we'll enjoy some more surfing and sun here in Hawaii!

Bella and her cousin Tylan
Bella had so much fun while her cousins from Nauvoo were visiting here in Hawaii. My sister Jessica has more pictures that she will send to me and when she does I'll post them, but for now here is Bella's little cousin Tylan. She loved playing with him. In fact I've never seen her play so good with another baby.

Sorry girls, I have the BEST husband!
You know you did pretty well in marrying when this is what you find and you didn't even have to ask. Yes folks he is on his hands and knees on the bathroom floor behind the toilet. Lance is known for doing this quite frequently. Anyway I had to take some pictures of it for posterity's sake :) He is also really good about washing the car weekly. This last weekend he took Bella out with him and let her play in the little pool while he washed the car. She had a ball. She wished she could help a little more with the hose though :) You're the best Lance! I love you

A LITTE UNDER THE WEATHER
Bella was a little under the weather this week. On Sunday she had a temperature of 103 all day and was so cranky. I thought for sure she was catching this disease that had been going around our apartment complex called hand foot and mouth disease. I know discusting! I was freaking out. So Sunday was the fever. Monday morning she broke out in this wicked rash all over her body. Now I'm really panicing... For sure she had this discusting disease from a dirty kid... I am so rude sorry. Anyway the weird thing was was that she had no other symptoms. The fever was gone she just had a rash all over. No cough, no runny nose, nothing. She was even acting normal. I ended up taking her to the doctor just so I could have peace of mind that my daughter was going to be ok. She was fine of course, but it took almost 4 days to get rid of her rash. The doctor figured it was probably some food allergy so in the end it's all my fault... Here are just a few pictures. The first one is an attempt of the rash on her face. It didn't show up nearly what it really looked like. The other two are just fun pictures. Bella's new thing is opening the fridge cause she always thinks she needs to eat. And I just loved this picture of her with Lance's hat on.

MY LITTLE BOX BABY GIRL
Little cutie she is... Lately she's been obsessed with boxes as you can clearly see. She would love it if I helped her all day climb in and out of boxes. Her favorite thing is she stands in them and shakes her booty and thinks she is so funny.

Definetely a fort building sunday!
Last Sunday we had tons of rain! It was crazy it was coming down like I've never seen it before. We had been at another apartment just around the corner and this is what we looked like when we came in the house, SOAKING WET! Daddy and Bella decided to build a fort :) It just seemed like one of those kind of days... A fort building day. Bella had so much fun in there with daddy, eating snacks, reading books and telling stories. I wish I knew how to do a video on here cause I have the cutest video clip of the two of them in their fort telling stories. Isabella is so lucky to have such a good dad to play with.

HOORAY soccer is over!!!!
Ok so I must be honest. I really do have mixed emotions about soccer being done and over with for Lance. On one hand, I am so excited that I will get my husband back in the evenings (besides homework of course) and on the weekends. No more practices, no more games. Life is great. On the other hand, I have loved every minute of being a soccer wife and supporting Lance through his last three seasons of soccer. I will really miss yelling on the sidelines at games, giving my sweaty, hot husband a kiss after playing amazingly, and most of all I will miss it because I know Lance will miss it. I know he has mixed emotions also. He has been playing soccer since he was just a baby and he's come to the end. I was glad to hear my dad remind us that it's not really the end for him. He's got a daughter and a son that I'm pretty sure he'll be playing a lot of soccer with for many a years. And of course those good old intermural soccer teams.... I'm so proud of Lance and his success as an outstanding soccer player. I love you Lance and am so happy you finished this season so well!

Lots and lots of Halloween Parties!!!
So this last week has been full of Halloween costume parties. This first one was one our friends put together for everybody at the game center here on campus. It was a lot of fun. We bowled ate treats and food and just had good fun. Bella even didn't even freak out about her costume which was a miracle. As you can see, Bella was a little fishy, Lance was an odd looking officer and I was the jail bird. The other two parties were primary and a little boys birthday/halloween party. They were lots of fun, but I'll be honest, halloween hasn't even come yet and I'm a little halloweened out. Hopefully Bella will put on her fish costume one more time for actual Halloween and trick-or-treating... We'll see.
